A therapy dog is a dog trained to provide affection and comfort to people in hospitals, retirement homes, nursing homes, schools, people with learning difficulties and stressful situations such as disaster areas . The handler and dog work as a team to spread happiness, comfort and a feeling of well-being.
Do you have a registered therapy dog? Would you like to know more about becoming a therapy dog team? Than this is for you. We also want to welcome any teams being evaluated on Saturday, as well as anyone at Goldstock who is interested in learning more about therapy dogs.
If you have a therapy dog we at Goldstock would like to recognize you and your dog for service to your community. If anyone has lost a therapy dog this past year please submit them into the ceremony, when you submit you form please note if they have passed.
